Here’s a full listing of cars destroyed in an Atlantic ship fire

Topgear.nl has published a full list of vehicles that sunk to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean after Felicity Ace, the ship that carried them to the Americas, caught on fire and sank in mid-February this year.

Most of the cars were Volkswagen Group models produced for the North and South American markets. There were also multiple private orders on board, including some rare and even exotic cars.

Around 4,000 cars was lost in Total, including 85 Lamborghinis (15 Aventador Ultimae among them), 846 Audis, 580 Porsches, 523 VWs, and 190 Bentleys.

Highlights among the private cars mentioned above are a Porsche 718 Boxster GTS 4.0, a three-year-old MINI Countryman packed in a wooden container for unknown reason, and a trio of Seat Ateca crossovers probably bound for Mexico, because the model is not officially available in the USA.

A 1977 Land Rover Santana classic also fell victim to the incident. Back in the 1970s, a Spanish car company obtained a legal permission to produce the Santana model based on the Land Rover Defender. A 26-year-old Honda Prelude SiR coupe, the 65th unit assembled, was also lost to the fire.

Topgear.nl was able to locate the owner of this coupe in social media. He said he had intended to have it completely restored and customized with some JDM styling cues. Not only did he lose the car, but issues with the insurance apparently prevented him from getting any kind of reimbursement whatsoever.
