The performance-laden Lamborghini Aventador SVJ racing coupe, which has recently struck a new unofficial record of 6m 44.9s on the North Loop of the Nürburgring, has celebrated its official premiere earlier today.
Lamborghini plans to release a total of 900 Aventador SVJ vehicles priced at U.S. $517,000 and above.
Each Lamborghini Aventador SVJ comes powered by a 12-cylinder monster engine producing 770 hp (574 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb·ft) of torque. It only needs 2.8s to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph).
The car features an active aerodynamics system named the ALA, which automatically adjusts its aerodynamic drag and downforce.
Compared to the main Aventador series, the SVJ has a different front bumper, redesigned air intakes and a new carbon body kit.
