Not all celebrities can afford, or care to buy, a genuine supercar. Popular Thai singer Beam felt like building his own Lamborghini Countach rather than buying the real thing. The outcome is weirdly hilarious – watch the video and you’ll see why.
The front half of the chassis obviously stems from Hyundai, while the rear half is of custom make. A Toyota UZ Series eight-cylinder twin-turbo resides behind the driver’s back, and the air-ride suspension reportedly uses some Nissan Skyline R32 components.
While the Frankencar might have only a passing semblance to the Countach, it has its share of nicely done parts and sounds quite impressively, too. Durability seems to be its weak point, however. No later than the presenter claims it is every bit as stable as the original the suspension gives way.
After the second such breakdown within a day, Beam leaves his fake Lambo be and pulls another vehicle from his garage: a Porsche 550 Spyder replica with the VW Beetle chassis at its core.
