The V12-powered Lamborghini hybrid announced earlier this year has been officially revealed now, and this is what it brings to the table.
The supercar marks the 50th anniversary since the launch of the original Countach and is going to be named ‘Countach LPI 800-4’, where the letters stand for Longitudinale Posteriore Ibrido and the number for metric horsepower. As such, the newcomer boasts 800 PS, 789 hp, or 588 kilowatts.
Unsurprisingly, the car is based on the Sian platform, because the Sian itself was largely inspired by it. We are not aware of any specifics of the powertrain implemented in the new LPI 800-4, but the Sian uses a 6.5-liter V12 and a low-power electric motor integrated into a 7-speed transmission for 819 PS (808 hp / 602 kW) total.
The revived Countach will enjoy a public premiere at the Pebble Beach Festival kicking off on August 15, 2021. A total of 112 units will be produced and offered at €3 million each.
