Lamborghini announced the comeback of the Countach trademark earlier this week, posting the first pic of a car under tarp. More images have been revealed today.
All three pics focus on separate design elements of the new supercar, suggesting a vaguely retro-inspired look. Note especially the tapering front end so characteristic of the original model.
There is also a slim radiator grille with a ‘Countach’ caption on it, a large splitter, a massive air intake, and a black-and-gold engine bay lid with ‘V12’ etched on it.
It is official that the car will be based on the Lamborghini Sian tech, which in turn means a 6.5-liter V12 assisted by an electric motor integrated in the transmission. The Sian gets up to 819 PS (808 hp / 602 kW) out of its setup, but the Countach can be expected to have a bit less power than that.
