This Lamborghini Countach has only around 7,300 kilometers (4,500 miles) to show for being 35 years old, and belongs to a limited series of 66 supercars named ‘5000 Quattrovalvole’. The top bid currently makes $505,000.
Lamborghini made 1,983 Countach units in total. The 5000 Quattrovalvole series came equipped with a special cylinder head assembly featuring four valves per cylinder. It also has whopping 5.2 liters of engine displacement, putting it above most other coupes with 3.9 and 4.8 liters. Only 610 large-displacement Countach units rolled off the assembly lines back in 1985–1988.
Furthermore, only one out of ten cars relied on Bosch K-Jetronic injection system instead of six Weber carburetors. The power maxed out at 455 PS (449 hp / 335 kW), but this particular specification has 420 PS (414 hp / 309 kW). A body partly made of Kevlar ensures it is still fast enough for its purposes.
The car on sale is in great condition and fully maintained with all liquids and spark plugs replaced, and the door lift at the driver’s side repaired. Trim options are scarce: there is an air conditioner on board and a cassette player, but that’s it. The windows are raised and lowered manually, and while the mirrors are supposed to be electronically adjustable, they no longer work.
Whoever buys the supercar will be getting a color-matched scale replica of it, an old set of tires (new tires were installed this year), a full package of documents, and an invoice for the latest maintenance, according to which replacing the liquids and the spark plugs cost $3,212.
