A rare Lamborghini Countach LP400 S Series II produced in 1981 in a batch of 105 examples is up for grabs right now. The seller points out a number of unique styling traits making it even more expensive – the asking price is a lofty $650,000.
The Countach LP400 S (see video) was first introduced in 1978. It was in this version that the Italian supercar received its signature fender flares. It also wound up with new concave rims shod in Pirelli P7 tires sized 345/35R15, believed to have been the widest street-legal tires installed on production cars worldwide at that time. It also rode closer to the ground than ever.
This particular example was made for a customer in Switzerland and never left Europe. Speaking of unique features, it lacks the optional rear wing and comes painted in Tahiti Blue. The latter was an aftermarket modification performed by its current owner, because the OEM color was red. The beige interior is still original. The seller says he had spent roughly €71,000 on restoration and maintenance since 2021.
When it debuted, the Lamborghini Countach LP400 S packed a 3.9-liter engine rated at 355 PS (350 hp / 261 kW).
