Lego has expanded its Icons brick set lineup with a new 18+ set depicting a more recent Lamborghini Countach. It comprises 1,506 blocks and will go on sale on July 4 priced at $179,99.
The Italian classic supercar came out in 1974 and had stayed in production until 1990. The Lego version mimics the 5000 Quattrovalvole that debuted in 1985. Compared to its predecessor, the LP500 S, the Quattrovalvole had more V12 displacement room to work with – 5.2 liters instead of 4.8.
When fully assembled, the replica is sized 34 x 16 x 9 cm large (13.3 x 6.25 x 3.5 inches). It features a functional frunk cover and engine lid with a tiny V12 block beneath, as well as the company’s signature scissor doors. The steering wheel works as intended, and the car is largely white with a red cabin.
