Lamborghini unveiled its Diablo GT racecar in 1998, styling it close to the road-legal 1991 Diablo but with an extreme body kit, massive air intakes and plenty of carbon parts, including a rear spoiler. Today, a unique mix of the two models surfaced on Bring a Trailer. Interested?
The owner of this 1991 Lamborghini Diablo outfitted it with all the OEM GT bodywork and aero kit, including a hood cover, fender flares, bumpers, side skirts, a rear wing and a rear diffuser – all of it made of pure carbon fiber. He painted the result Balloon White and moved the fuel cap to the upper right quarter panel.
Aside from the above, the Diablo landed with 18-inch rims shod in Pirelli P Zero tires, as well as red brake calipers. The cabin received black leather treatment with Alcantara details and orange accents. Notable equipment bits include HVAC, power windows and a CD player.
Driving the supercar is a 5.7-liter V12 good for 492 PS (362 kW) and 580 Nm (428 lb-ft) of torque. A five-speed manual transmission sends the power to the rear wheels using a limited-slip differential.
While probably less impressive than the real Diablo GT, this ride is still pretty awesome in its own way and should find a new owner soon.
