10-year-old Lamborghini Gallardo nets nearly $0.2M at the auction

This 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera is special in many ways, including its technical specifications, paint scheme and low mileage of just 2,000 miles (3,200 km). Unfortunately, it only attracted $186,000 at a recent auction, down from the $291,490 original sticker price.

The Superleggera series debuted 11 years ago (watch the video to refresh your memory if you would like). It flaunted a host of composite aero parts, including a massive rear wing, and relied on a 5.2-liter V10 to propel it forward with 570 PS (562 hp / 419 kW). A six-speed semi-automatic transmission sent the torque to both wheels, enabling a sprint from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds.

Features of this particular Gallardo included a Blu Caelum paintjob, 19-inch forged wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, and a front lift for overcoming obstacles. Alcantara is abundant in the cabin, and the seats have carbon-fiber frames.
