A used, rare Lamborghini Gallardo SE with only 830 km (515 miles) on the odo was bet to $145,000 USD at a recent auction. We do not know if the deal was finalized, but the bet amount exceeded typical offering for similarly old, higher-mileage cars by around 25 or 30 percent.
The Gallardo Special Edition came out in a batch of 250 units with rich equipment, tweaked suspension and a bi-color body with black roof and engine bay lid (watch the video for a closer look). The SE was only offered in North America.
This car is example number 34 finished in Giallo Halys Yellow with a leather cabin in black and yellow. The feature list mentions navigation, power adjustments and heating for the seats, a reversing camera, a front lift system for hiking over speed bumps, yellow brake calipers and 19-inch Callisto wheels. The seller took care to change spark plugs, filters, the generator belt, tires and liquids prior to the sale.
Power for the exotic comes from a five-liter naturally aspirated V10 capable of 500 PS (492 hp / 368 kW) and 510 Nm (376 lb-ft) of torque. A six-speed E-Gear transmission drives the wheels.
The Gallardo came out in a total production run of 14,022 units in 2003 through 2015, making it the most popular Lamborghini on sale back at the time.
