Ever since Lamborghini unveiled the Huracan Super Trofeo Omologata, we have been wondering whether that car would eventually dethrone the Mercedes-AMG GT Black as the new Lord of the ‘Ring. Judging by a recent video, this certainly looks like the company’s intention.
An Huracan STO was sighted and filmed on video on the North Loop yesterday. The second half of the footage follows the supercar as it demonstrates some amazing cornering performance. However, it is the first half that interests us the most. Note the canister with ‘benzina speciale nr’ writted on it. The Panta badge hints that racing-grade fuel was used for the race.
Could Lambo be using a new type of fuel to set the record? If so, we wonder if is going to be recognized as legitimate. Then again, an official comment should follow soon, so let’s just stay tuned and find out.
