Lamborghini teases its updated Huracan GT3 racer

The latest teaser previews a car that the Italian automaker seems to have cobbled together from the pre-facelift GT3 racer and the street-legal Huracan STO.

As Motor1 correctly pointed out, the caption below the photo says, ‘The STOry continues.’ There is no disregarding that capitalization as random. The Huracan STO is a track-focused car that only barely manages to remain road-worthy. It features an original body kit along with a high-tech aerodynamic kit and tweaked electronic internals.

There was no mention of a premiere date. Giorgio Sanna, the Director of Lamborghini Motorsport, mentioned that the company planned to postpone it until 2023. He explained that upgrading their fleets is always expensive for private racing teams, many of which are still struggling with post-Covid financial difficulties.

On the plus side, when the new GT3 racer does come out, it will be available as a standalone purchase and as an upgrade kit for the current GT3, which you can see on the remaining photos and the videos in our gallery here.
