Painting a unique Lamborghini Huracan like this takes 370 hours

Lamborghini has unveiled a one-off Huracan Sterrato model dubbed Opera Unica. The car celebrates the company’s 60th birthday and wears a hand-applied livery that makes it like no other of the 1,499 examples planned for production (already sold out).

The designer’s intention was to mix the marine theme with the sky hues of Sardinia, Italy using just blue and white paints. Applying them layer after layer on just one supercar takes 370 work-hours.

Designed in Lamborghini Ad Personam, the car has a matte black top, wheel arch extensions, black side sills and 19-inch wheels. The interior has color-matched inserts, as well as naked carbon trim bits, multiple leather varieties, and Alcantara.

The powertrain remains stock. A 5.2-liter V10 sends 610 PS (602 hp / 450 kW) and 565 Nm (417 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. Every Sterrato model is additionally prepared for moderate off-road driving with assorted chassis and suspension tweaks, extra ground clearance and rugged exterior trims.
