The new Lamborghini Huracan STJ (Super Trofeo Jota) continues the company’s tradition of sending supercars to their retirement by releasing a strictly limited maxed-out series. Running on the STO racecar chassis (see video), the STJ will reach the market in 10 units, each equipped with Lambo’s iconic 5.2-liter V10. The engine will never be used again.
Compared to the STO it is based upon, the STJ boasts additional aerodynamic trims at the front sides, as well as a rear wing tilted by 3 degrees compared to normal. The company explains that it increases the downforce by a further 10% while preserving the overall balance.
The suspension gets racing-grade shock absorbers designed to be used with manual adjustments (the stock Huracan STO had automatic adaptive shocks). 20-inch centerlock wheels in the arches come shod in purpose-designed Bridgestone Potenza Race tires.
Buyers will be choosing from two original liveries. One combines a grey and black body with red and white accents and an interior draped in black Alcantara with red stitching. The other one leans into blue and black.
The powertrain comes from the STO. It’s a 5.2-liter V10 mated to the rear wheels through a seven-speed DCT, producing 640 PS (631 hp / 471 kW) and 565 Nm (417 lb-ft) of torque. Lamborghini claims that, despite the relatively minor scope of upgrades, the STJ can lap up the Nardo Test Circuit one second faster than the STO.
