Tuner Chris Steinbacher will be attending the SEMA show with a custom Lambo packing a Hummer H2 engine and Audi R8 manual transmission.
When Stainbacher originally purchased this AWD LP610-4 (see the video), the car was badly charred from an earlier tuning accident. He decided not just to restore it, but also to transform it into something entirely special.
The restoration landed this particular Lambo with a six-liter, eight-cylinder LQ4 LS engine. The Hummer H2, as well as various Chevrolet and GMC Yukon Denali pickup trucks used to come equipped with this particular engine model. Its one downside was the power: just 330 hp, or 246 kW. To give the supercar its due, the tuner fitted the unit with dual turbine chargers, raising its output to 1,000 hp (745 kW). He also ditched the stock seven-speed pre-selective transmission in favor of an adapted six-speed manual gear taken from an Audi R8.
