Huracan Evo RWD promises more driving pleasure than ever

Lamborghini unveiled the facelifted Huracan series a year ago, and now follows up with announcing the RWD variant of the supercar. The production will start in 2020.

The RWD edition targets those of us who prefer old-school supercars with their naturally aspirated engines and rear wheel drive. According to Stefano Domenicali, CEO of the luxury British carmaker, the rear-axle drive system translates to ‘unfiltered feedback and an emotive and more engaging driving experience.’

The series comes powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine rated at 610 PS (600 hp, 447 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. A seven-speed semi-automatic transmission is used to deliver the power to the wheels.

At 1,389 kg (3,062 lbs) curb weight, the Huracan RWD weighs 33 kilograms (73 lbs) less than its AWD sibling. It needs 3.3 seconds to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph), something that the AWD version performs 0.4 s faster.

Visual cues include a redesigned front splitter, vertical aerodynamic components inside the air intakes, and a revised rear diffuser.
