The Hoonigan team has pitted the Italian Lamborghini Huracan up against the U.S.-made Dodge Demon. Both are renowned for their drag race capabilities, but which one has the edge?
The American muscle car has more thrust on paper with its supercharged V8 hitting the crankshaft with 840 hp (626 kW) and 1,042 Nm (770 lb-ft) of torque. The Huracan lies 200 hp (150 kW) below, but it also weighs much less and benefits from all-wheel drive, which enables it to launch faster. Finally, tuners have fitted Huracan’s 5.2-liter V10 with a supercharger to bring it closer to the Demon in terms of power. In the end, the Italian delivers the same 640 hp (477 kW), but to the wheels rather than the crank.
