Those who choose to buy the opulent and obscenely expensive Lamborghini Huracan often fall for the passionate sound of its naturally aspirated ten-cylinder. Whoever in their right mind would dare swap an engine like this for an LS V8? However, the question is not rhetorical.
The Lambo you can see in the video once belonged to a careless tuning aficionado who felt that outfitting it with a turbocharger kit was a good idea. He was proved wrong when the kit exploded, ruining the engine and the rear end of the car. Chris of B is for Build purchased the wreck as scrap and decided to revive it based on a Chevrolet LS V8.
He succeeded in installing the new engine along with dual turbines and a custom fuel system. His original intention was to boost it to 1,500 horsepower, but the task proved more challenging than he had expected. The work is still far from complete, but the swapped Lambo has already performed some test runs on an airport runway. Aside from a vague throttle-related issue early on in the video, the test drive looks like a big success!
