The Eta tropical rainstorm that hit Florida late this weekend caused a large-scale disruption across the southwestern part of the state, catching too many a driver by surprise. With streets flooded within minutes, cars were left stranded until the water recession. The driver of this Lambo Huracan was not taking any crap from the weather, though.
The short video follows a yellow supercar as it ploughs through the waves and slaloms between other cars on a street in Fort Lauderdale. The fate of the mid-engined car is left ambiguous. On the plus side, it has most of its sensitive components and air intakes at the rear end. Even so, we’d be surprised to learn that the Lambo survived the reckless rush unharmed.
The water has reached as high as the side mirrors a couple times, and this means it was over a meter (3 feet) deep. A few waves have even rolled over the top of the Italian exotic. All in all, a lucky escape would be very, very lucky indeed – and highly unlikely.
