Lamborghini teases the ultimate Huracan STO

The first pre-production copy of the Lamborghini Huracan STO (Super Trofeo Omologato) was spied testing this spring, and today, the company finally revealed the launch date: November 18, 2020.

The STO is a rear-wheel-drive supercar coming to phase out the Performante model. Compared to the latest Huracan EVO, it weighs approximately 150 kilograms (330 pounds) less thanks to an exceptionally light carbon fiber body. It also boasts performance brakes, suspension and chassis tuned for extreme track use, a special body kit, and a large rear wing.

It is possible that the flagship will go on sale with a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 under the hood capable of 640 PS (631 hp / 471 kW), just like the current LP 640-4 Performance. It is also being reported unofficially that Lambo plans to keep the production run down to 700 units.
