Lamborghini had reported selling out the remaining Huracan supercar stock last spring, but CarBuzz believes the Italian automaker is considering releasing at least one more special edition before saying it goodbye. The company apparently patented a logo of this final edition, the letters “STJ”.
The abbreviation looks similar to the one Lamborghini had used on its Aventador SVJ lineup since the late 2010s. As such, we wouldn’t be surprised if the rumored Huracan STJ turned out a supercar for the racetrack. It could be street-legal, but then again, it might be not.
CarBuzz believes that the novelty will be based on the Huracan STO chasiss. The Super Trofeo Omologata had a racing-grade body kit, a lightweight body design and a potent 5.2-liter V10 tuned to deliver 640 PS (631 hp / 471 kW). You can find it in the gallery and the video here. Just how the alleged STJ will differ from the standard car remains to be seen.
There has been no official comment from Lamborghini yet. We expect the Huracan STJ to be released in a limited production run this year, after which the model should retire at last.
