The Italian sports car brand has come to the Art Basel show in Miami with an exclusive take on its latest superhybrid, the Revuelto. The one-off creation is known as Opera Unica 39 and celebrates the company turning 60 years old with a unique exterior graphics that took 435 hours to apply by hand.
This means that, if only one person had been assigned to the task, they would have to work for 18 days straight without breaks for meals and sleep. Lamborghini adds that 76 hours went into conceptualizing the project and a further 220 was invested in the interior works.
The supercar ended up with a gorgeous gradient smoothly flowing from Viola Pasifae to Nero Helene interspersed with vivid splashes of color – as though the artist were hitting a canvas with a brush. The same color scheme applies to the interior, but it looks much more geometrical than the bodywork. Even the engine start button has been resprayed for the occasion.
The goal of the project was to showcase the vast customization opportunities offered by Lamborghini’s Centro Stile division, as well as to remind everyone that the company has been around for six decades already.
