It’s still too early for electric supercars, Lamborghini argues

Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann believes that the era of battery-powered supercars has yet to come, and clients aren’t too eager to buy them in their current state.

According to Winkelmann, the biggest issue with lightning-fast EVs is their lack of emotions and charisma. For all their superb characteristics, these cars can’t deliver quite the same level of excitement as ICE cars. This is precisely why the company said it prioritized “keeping the rebel spirit alive” while designing its next 4.0-liter V8.

But you can’t stop progress, and supercars aren’t completely exempt either. The all-electric, coupe-like Lamborghini Lanzador SUV remains scheduled for market launch in 2028.
