The company’s future electric cars will not attempt to imitate gas-powered classics, says Lamborghini Chief Engineer Rooven Moore.
He admitted that the lack of a discernible engine sound and gear shifts does diminish the emotional involvement from driving EVs, but said the Italian automaker had a number of interesting ideas in store for counteracting these shortcomings. He emphasized that Lambo’s battery-powered cars are designed to be every bit as emotional and immersive to drive as the gas guzzlers.
He declined further comment on these ideas, saying they will be implemented in EVs coming to the market soon enough – in a year or two.
