Rumor: Lamborghini Sian sold out, topless version underway

The hybrid-powered Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 supercar debuted last fall – watch the video or browse through the pics if you need a reminder. Now, rumors started appearing that the original Sian had been completely sold out via pre-orders, urging the Italian marque to follow up with designing an open-top version of it.

The car comes powered by a 6.5-liter V12 rated at 819 PS (808 hp, 603 kW). The production quantity is kept down to 63 units priced up to 3.6 million USD; if the alleged roadster ever comes out, it will likely flaunt an even bigger price tag.

The manufacturer reveals no details so far, so there is nothing but conjecture surrounding the car at this point. One major issue could be technical: just how will Lamborghini remove the roof of the Sian without negatively impacting its structural integrity? Having said that, the Sian might as well go the way of the Veneno roadster that ended up without any kind of top, whether hard or soft.
