Can you picture a Lambo Urus as an art car? Yet here it is

With a bit of creativity, you can imagine virtually any vehicle used as an art car – but the luxury-laden Lamborghini Urus still would not be on the list. The reason for this is actually simple: you do not generally imagine the sort of public who invests hundreds of thousands in luxury means of transportation being seriously infatuated with street art or graffiti. Nonetheless, the Art Basel 2018 show in Miami had just such an unlikely visitor: a Urus covered in graffiti doodles from top to bottom.

The car was a collaboration between the creative team of SWARM, wheel manufacturer Vossen Wheels, and street artist Surge.

Judging by the numerous “Vossen” inscriptions throughout the car body, it was the wheel maker who paid for the advertisement. Aside from that, the unlikely Lamborghini Urus art car sported a set of 23-inch Vossen S17-01 forged wheels with a glossy black finish.

Whether you like it or not, you’ll have to admit that this particular Urus is not a true art car in the full sense of that word. Normally, an artist sprays a car with a spray can straight over the factory paint, so it supposed to be a permanent and irreversible change. In this case, however, the car comes wrapped in a matte-white film wrap that you can just remove whenever you are tired of it. A bit cheap, isn’t it?
