YouTube channel Motorsport has posted this latest video dedicated to a race between a Lamborghini Urus and a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, easily the world’s craziest production SUVs in existence.
Extracting up to 650 hp (485 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque out of its four-liter V8, the Urus counts among the most powerful crossover utility vehicles out there. It sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.6 seconds and maxes out at 305 km/h (189.5 mph).
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is even more impressive in terms of raw muscle power, driving its 6.2-liter supercharged V8 to 707 hp (527 kW) and 875 Nm (645 lb-ft) of torque. This is partially compensated by its excess weight. Unlike the Urus, which weighs in at 2,286 kg (5,040 lbs), the Trackhawk packs a whopping 2,480 kg (5,467 lbs). This makes it marginally slower to sprint (3.7 s) and caps the top speed at 290 km/h (180 mph).
Watch the video for the outcome or read on for spoilers.
Both cars launch about equally well and go side-by-side for a few seconds, but the Urus ultimately gains headway and wins the race.
