The dedicated CarWOW team has arranged a contest of power between two V8-packing, 8A/T-equipped, AWD crossovers: an opulent Lamborghini Urus went up against a BMW X6 M Competition.
Powering the latter is a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged engine capable of 625 PS (616 hp / 460 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft). The car weighs 2,370 kilograms (5,225 lbs) and starts from £113,000 in Great Britain.
The Urus packs a heavier yet more capable engine good for 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque. It is 170 kg (375 lbs) lighter than its Bavarian rival and around 40% more expensive at £160,000 and above that.
In the end, the wet drag strip erased any specification differences between the two, resulting in a VERY close series of races. CarWOW even had to resort to photo finish to determine the winner.
