Lamborghini has handed more than 9,000 cars over to the customers last year, marking a new high in its entire history.
Specifically, the company managed to move 9,233 vehicles, improving its result by 10 percent over the preceding year. The Urus (see video) proved the most popular model by far with 5,367 units sold (+7%). This means more than a half of all Lambo buyers opted for the SUV.
Nevertheless, the interest towards the Huracan supercar went even farther up (+20%) with 3,113 units sold. The discontinued Aventador found 753 owners last year.
The United States continued to be the most lucrative market for the Italian automaker, but Asia was by far the fastest-growing one. Japan led the growth with 22%, while the regional average was 14%.
In the new year, the company plans to begin a new stage of electrification and reveal its first production-ready hybrid supercars.
