Lamborghini Urus PHEV shows up again

Yet another batch of spy shots depicts the long-anticipated Lamborghini Urus plug-in hybrid still wearing its test vehicle camo. Rumors insist that the production SUV is set to debut later this year.

The company facelifted the Urus model in September last year, giving it the ā€˜S’ suffix, and the test SUV shown below looks indistinguishable from it at a first glance. A more careful examination reveals slightly different headlights, air vents and hood.

Rumors have been circulating that the new Urus would utilize the same plug-in hybrid system as the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. A power upgrade would allegedly let it make 820 PS (809 hp / 603 kW) in the top spec.

It seems likely that Lamborghini will unveil the Urus PHEV shortly after showing us the successor to its iconic Aventador supercar.
