Sotheby’s Auctions is selling this limited-issue Lancia Hyena Zagato sports car that came out in 1994 in just 24 total units.
Coachbuilder Zagato was responsible for coming up with a brand-new body for it, settling on a combination of aluminum and Kevlar parts. For its part, the iconic Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione sourced the powertrain. However, compared to the Delta with its 1,340 kg (2,954 lbs) of curb weight, the Hyena is much lighter at just 1,150 kg (2,535 lbs). As a result, it reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) within 5.5 seconds from launch.
The example on sale has chassis number 15 out of 24, had been driven by three owners, and has less than 9,000 km (5,600 miles) on the counter. It comes with a full set of keys and papers, including certificates confirming the mileage and the ownership history. Latest replacements included the fuel pump, the starter, and some consumables.
