If the title didn’t make sense to you, that’s just fine. A video went viral on YouTube this weekend that the car media had somehow managed to ignore for ten years, and it features a vehicle like no other.
You may be tempted to call it a giant vacuum bot or a UFO, but it is actually a show car a company called Robomow designed and built in 2011. The brand is known for its lawnmowers, and the one-off concept car looks just like one, only much larger.
The seat formula is 1+2, meaning there is enough space for a driver and two passengers. The vehicle comes based on a tube-frame with glass-fiber plastic bodywork mounted on it. Power comes from a high-end Land Rover V8, while a manual gearbox from the Volkswagen Type 2 drives the wheels.
