James Bond’s Land Rover Defender goes under the hammer

An interesting sales ad has recently surfaced on eBay, asking U.S. $60,000 for a custom Land Rover Defender stylized to look like James Bond’s ride in the movie ‘Spectre’.

The tuner, who isn’t mentioned in the ad, equipped the SUV with fender flares, an external roll cage, new radiator grille, hood and running boards, a roof rack with an access ladder, auxiliary headlights, a 50 mm (2”) suspension lift, and 37-inch Maxis Trepador tires. It also painted the entire body of the car jet black.

The stock 2.2-liter diesel engine was traded for a similar gasoline motor toiling in tandem with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Another James Bond-themed Land Rover Defender – this time an authentic vehicle featured in the actual Spectre movie – went off an auction sale last year priced at £365,500.
