Prolific U.S.-based tuner E.C.D. Automotive Design produces 36 custom Land Rover Defenders per year. Today, the company rolled out another completed vehicle, titled the ‘Project Viking’.
As you can see on the photos, the car received the same body kit as its predecessors. So let’s not waste any time reviewing that and instead concentrate on what’s new. An immediate highlight comes in the form of an original, 16-inch beadlocked wheel set draped in 37-inch Maxxis M-8060 Trepador Mud Terrain tires. If that’s not hardcore enough for you, there is also a slight suspension lift bringing the vehicle a further 50 mm (2 inches) upwards.
As is traditional with E.C.D. Automotive Design, the car received a thorough interior makeover as well. There’s expensive leather everywhere, Corbeau RRS sport seats, the Momo Eagle steering wheel, a multimedia system with hi-end speakers and a massive subwoofer, a Wi-Fi hotspot, cameras in front and in the back, and much more.
The hood cover of the Land Rover Defender Project Viking opens up to reveal a 5.3L LS9 V8 engine rated at 340 hp (254 kW) linked to a six-speed manual transmission.
Can’t wait to see more releases by E.C.D.!
