British tuner Chelsea Truck Company (subsidiary of Kahn Design) has successfully converted a Land Rover Defender 110 into a pickup truck with a hard top.
The team started with a 2016 Land Rover Defender that only had 350 kilometers (217 miles) on its odometer. They had to remove the back seats to create a spacious truck bed, but the company claims the bed itself is large enough to accommodate up to 8 passengers in a pinch. They lined the bed with natural wood and trimmed the seats and the steering wheel with black stitched leather. Other notable improvements included a more up-to-date infotainment system and a revised instrument panel.
On the outside, the truck has gained LED headlights, new bumpers, the X-Lander grille, fender flares and 20-inch Mondial Wheels.
Chelsea Truck Company said it wanted to build a car that would be, above all, practical. In our opinion, not only did it deliver on that front, but it also succeeded in making it look good.
The SUV-turned-truck is now up for sale for just £40,000.
