The North American tuner E.C.D. Automotive Design seems to understand precisely what it takes to decisively improve the overall driving experience of the not-so-large Land Rover Defender D90. You only need to swap the stock six-banger for a potent 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine of the Chevrolet Corvette! Another such conversion came out today, titled the Project Ranger.
The D90 now produces 430 horsepower (321 kW) and sends it along to the wheels by means of a five-speed manual transmission. It also packs a Borla exhaust system to support the newly gained performance with a matching soundtrack.
On the outside, you will recognize the Land Rover Defender D90 by E.C.D. Automotive Design by its exclusive Ford Terrain paint, a differently styled front bumper, a winch, a large bull bar with DRLs attached, and a set of 18-inch Sawtooth wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A tires.
Among other things, the British vehicle gained a brand-new interior trim that involved large amounts of premium materials. It now houses a Sony multimedia system, a JL Audio speaker set, USB ports, a wireless charger, Moal Bomber dash instruments, and a few other modern tech features.
