Car Tuning

This E.C.D.-built LR Defender makes 430 hp, just like the rest of them

Just what car have you come to associate with the 6.2-liter V8 engine rated at 430 horsepower / 321 kilowatts? Is it perhaps the Chevrolet Camaro or Corvette? Or maybe a Cadillac super sedan/saloon? If you were tempted to say, “Land Rover Defender,” don’t fret. Thanks to the valiant efforts of E.C.D. Automotive Design, we have all begun to see the good ol’ Defender as a V8 vehicle. Today, the U.S.-based tuner came out with another custom Defender that we would like to show you.

The so-called Land Rover Defender Project Grey Goose V8 sports a mesh grille, a manually fused roll cage and a Bonatti Grey Metallic paintjob. It rides on a set of 18-inch Kahn Design 1983 wheels wrapped in meaty BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A rubber.

The cabin houses two rows of leather-clad Puma bucket seats, a Momo Prototipo steering wheel, a Sony Infotainment System with the Sirius XM radio module, a high-end JL Audio speaker set, a rear view camera, a wireless charger, and much more. Elegant stitches on the upholstery liven up the mood inside.

As we have said before, the engine bay holds a 430-hp / 321-kW strong V8 engine linked to a six-speed automatic transmission.
