Open top, luxury trim, and a V8: ECD rolls out another restored LR Def

California-based tuner ECD Automotive Design has completed its next big project, the Land Rover Defender 110 4×4 Prevail. The car ended up with a 6.2L engine swap, a soft top and a luxury cabin trim.

The painstakingly restored Def sports a Loire Blue paintjob, a slim front bumper with headlight guards, and the headlights themselves are now LED-based. The fenders have grown appreciably wider, and the rear end now boasts a massive stainless-steel roll bar. Sawtooth 18-inch wheels with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 tires adorn both axles.

ECD 2-Way Air Suspension also deserves a mention. The in-house suspension design enables the SUV to feel equally at home on smooth asphalt and away from it.

Powering the custom Def is a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine good for 430 horsepower (321 kilowatts), mated to a six-speed automatic transmission and a roaring Borla exhaust.

The cabin boasts a luxury trim dominated by Spinneybeck Volo Black and Volo Toast leather. Other highlights include a Momo Prototipo wheel and an audio system that uses modern JL / JBL components.
