E.C.D. unveils another LR Defender-based masterpiece

E.C.D. Automotive Design, this worldwide famous restorer of classical Defs, has rolled out another project based on the 110 version of the SUV. Let us see what is so special about this so-called Project Invictus.

The main highlight comes in the form of an enormous camping tent on the roof. Made by Cascadia Vehicle Tents, it is so spacious you can easily stand up full height inside.

The rest is more or less typical E.C.D. fare. This includes an Aircon front apron, a Warn Industries VR12-S winch, Kahn Defend 1983 alloys measuring 18 inches across, and BG Goodrich All-Terrain T/A K02 265/65R18 rubber.

The body boasts a Bronze Metallic paintjob and comes adorned with matte-black accents (you will not find any chrome parts, though). The engine bay is now occupied by the standard 6.2 LS3 V8 crate engine with 430 hp (321 kW) at the crank, five-speed manual transmission, and 4WD.

Further noteworthy upgrades include in-house-designed air suspension, LED lighting all around, performance brakes, and an aftermarket exhaust system.

The inner space of the E.C.D. Land Rover Defender 110 Project Invictus comes wrapped in genuine leather (‘Spice & Licorice’ dual-tone look). Modern additions include a reversing camera, Apple CarPlay support, and a range-topping JL Audio system.
