The year is nearing its end, but E.C.D. Automotive Design keeps pumping out those custom Defenders one after another. Introducing today: the Project Yellow Stone!
The restomod utilizes the Land Rover Defender 110 Crew Cab base tech and comes with more or less the same range of upgrades as all other E.C.D. vehicles. In view of this, let us only focus on the highlights.
The first one comes in the shape of a trailer attachment. To facilitate hauling heavy things around, the car underwent an engine swap to the 6.2-liter Chevrolet LS3 V8 engine often used in such projects. The boosted unit sends 565 hp (421 kW) to the wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission.
The second highlight is the custom Brembo GT Performance brake system co-developed with Race Technologies. Dual six-piston calipers in front and four-piston ones in the back should ensure proper deceleration even with heavy cargo in tow (like the motor boat shown in the video).
Finally, the interior now boasts a brand-new trim with plenty of modern in-car amenities. Watch the video to learn more.
