E.C.D. rolls out a beach-themed Land Rover Defender

E.C.D. Automotive Design has wrapped up work on another bespoke Land Rover Defender 90. The greyish-blue off-roader is known as “Project CL” and clearly belong to a windsurfer.

Exterior mods are typical E.C.D. fare: heavy-duty stainless-steel bumpers all around, a winch at the front end, fender flares and 18-inch Kahn 1983 wheels finished in Satin Black and wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain rubber. The cabin makes use of beige leather adorned with diamond stitching, a Puma dashboard, a Momo steering wheel with three silver-tinted spokes, and an up-to-date Sony infotainment system.

Powering the restomod is the old-and-proven Chevrolet LS3 V8 crate engine with 6.2 liters of displacement. A four-speed automatic transmission sends the power to all four wheels, and Brembo brakes along with custom air-rode suspension help keep things under control.

The company neglected to mention the price, but it is no secret that E.C.D. Automotive usually charges U.S. $100,000 and above for its projects – often much more than $200,000 with all the options thrown into the equation.
