This 1988 Land Rover Defender 130 will set you back $190k

Osprey Custom Cars has unveiled its latest project, a restored Land Rover Defender 130 originally made in 1988 and currently being sold for U.S. $189,950.

What’s there to justify the staggering price? The radiator grille and the hood are both new, there are stainless-steel bumpers all around and 20-inch black alloys wrapped in off-road Cooper tires sized 275/65 R20.

Inside, elegantly embroidered leather adorns the seats and door panels. The classical Defender rocks a Puma-spec dashboard with anodized aluminum inserts, a 7-inch multimedia touchscreen, a wireless gadget charger, LED lighting, and a Rockford Fosgate audio system.

Technical improvements include heavy-duty suspension, disk brakes at both axles, underbody protection and a special, quieter muffler. A 6.2-liter LS3 V8 toils under the hood, churning out 435 PS (429 hp / 320 kW) and 576 Nm (425 lb-ft) of torque.
