The V8-packing Land Rover Defender revealed last week won’t hold its flagship status for long: according to the head of SVO division, an even higher spec is coming that will give the Mercedes-AMG G 63 a run for its money.
The new SUV will be rated higher than the current 525 PS (518 hp / 386 kW), and will benefit from a new rally-grade suspension and extra ride height. Other off-road-friendly mods are also on the list.
In all likelihood, Land Rover will invite Bowler to assist with the development. The tuner became a part of the SVO division in late 2019.
