Himalaya has recently finished its project named Hue 166, a perfectly restored and modernized Land Rover Defender stylized after its ancestor from the distant year 1948.
The Defender 110 restomod pictured here features an authentic paintjob known as Grasmere Green with a white roof for contrast. It rides on 18-inch vintage-themed wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich rubber and has flared fenders to accommodate them. The new bumpers are made of metal, and the sides and the bottom take advantage of skid guards.
The team spent countless hours designing the interior of the car, landing it with an all-new trim, a JVC infotainment system with a touchscreen display, a high-end sound system, and a two-zone climate control.
Powering the restomod is a Chevrolet LT4 V8 rated at 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW), which an eight-speed automatic transmission sends to all four wheels.
The project took four years to wrap up, so the asking price of U.S. $300,000 shouldn’t strike you as unexpected.
