Land Rover has officially announced the forthcoming limited-series release of its Defender SUV to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the car series. A total of 150 cars will be made available on the British market.
Industry-savvy people expect this car to be the company’s fastest to date. It’s likely to be equipped with a 5.0-liter, eight-cylinder engine with a 400+ hp output. The vehicle will make its 0-100 km/h run in 5.6 seconds and peak out at 170 km/h.
Apart from the above, the exclusive Land Rover Defender Anniversary Edition should get an eight-speed automatic transmission operating in sports mode, improved brakes and nice 18-inch alloy wheels. Its passenger compartment will house Recaro sport seats and a new infotainment system.
Each Land Rover Defender Anniversary Edition will be priced at £150,000 or more.
