Jeep Wrangler 392 meets a Defender, a G63 and an X7 at the drag strip

Carwow has uploaded yet another quarter-mile race video on YouTube where it pits serious SUVs against each other. The four would probably do better on a dirt track (with some exceptions), but it is still interesting to see how they perform on smooth asphalt.

All four cars have V8 engines under the hood. The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 is the least powerful of the quarter with 476 PS (469 hp / 350 kW) at its disposal. It is also the lightest one. The G-Class ranks the highest with 585 PS (577 hp / 430 kW), but it also weighs the most.

Then there is a Land Rover Defender V8 with 525 PS (518 hp / 386 kW) and a BMW X7 M50i with 530 PS (523 hp / 390 kW). One may argue that the X7 is not an off-roader in the full sense of the term, offering little actual overlanding performance. Still, it should be more than adequate on the drag strip.

Which one do you think will win?
