The stretched Land Rover Defender 130 has not been a frequent catch of car spies lately, so the latest bunch of shots is of special interest to us. The SUV was spotted being tested on the Nürburgring.
The way it looks, the 130 has the same wheelbase length as the 110, but a much longer rear overhang. It also sports an identical exterior design with no distinguishing traits other than the body length. Rumor has it the surplus amounts to 12 inches (30 cm) or close to that, which should make it possible to add a third seat row and keep the trunk space mostly unaffected.
It would also make sense for the range-topping Defender 130 to ship with a 5.0-liter V8 rated at 525 PS (518 hp / 386 kW). Other options, including electrified ones, will be available as well.
Land Rover is expected to introduce the new 130 in late 2022.
