Check out a Chevy-swapped, Lambo-colored Defender restomod

E.C.D Automotive Design has refurbished another classic Land Rover Defender to what you could call a “better-than-new” condition.

The stock engine with its feeble 122 PS (120 hp / 90 kW) made room in the bay for a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated Corvette V8 rated at 450 PS (444 hp / 331 kW). An eight-speed automatic transmission drives all four wheels, reducing the sprint time from the OEM-rated 20+ seconds to around 6 seconds.

As a full-fledged restomod, the car also boasts reinforced axles, adjustable Air Ride suspension, Brembo brakes and a Borla exhaust system. It benefits from reinforced bumpers, auxiliary lighting on the roof above the windshield, and Kahn wheels.

The exterior paint choice is also rather unusual: the Verde Mantis shade originates from the Lamborghini palette, but the Defender has a matte version of it on, whereas the Italian supercars normally wear metallic.

The interior greets the viewer with heated Recaro bucket seats on the first and the second row. The rear row is simpler in comparison, although it still offers adjustable headrests. White leather covers all six seats, the door panels and the dashboard.

In terms of modern features, the car can offer a WiFi hotspot, a wireless phone charger, a Sony media system plugged into Infinity speakers, a Nardi Challenge steering wheel, video cameras all around, and parking sensors.

E.C.D. made no mention of the price.
