Check out a classic Land Rover Defender 90 restomod

A 1997 Land Rover Defender 90 that was completely restored and turned into an open-top beach cruiser is up for auction at Bring-a-Trailer right now. The bidding has already reached U.S. $72,500 – roughly $16,000 more than the price of a new Defender.

In early 2023, the car was resprayed from green into Brooklyn Metallic Grey and given 16-inch steelies shod in Cooper Discoverer tires. The lights all around have been exchanged for LEDs.

The interior received a makeover in brown leather and microfiber. Our favorite highlight there is a Nardi Torino steering wheel with a wooden rim that seamlessly blends into the general retro aesthetic.

A 2.5-liter TDI engine under the hood sends 113 PS (111 hp / 83 kW) and 264 Nm (195 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels.
